About the Program

CO.STARTERS Core is a three-month, cohort-based program that equips entrepreneurs of all kinds with the insights, relationships, and tools needed to turn business ideas into action. Participants enter into a facilitator-led, collaborative process with a small and supportive group of like-minded entrepreneurial peers. Working together, participants develop their businesses, critically examining every part and determining next steps through real-time feedback from people in the community, using a simplified version of the Business Model Canvas. This approach enables entrepreneurs to rapidly uncover flaws in their concepts and find viable models more quickly. Participants leave the program with a deeper understanding of how to build a sustainable business, articulate their models, and repeat the process with the next great idea.

                                           

Eligibility Requirements

  • Are based out of Charlotte
  • At least one founder is Female
  • Founder agrees to meet once a week, for 3-hours for 11 weeks
  • Company is not a non-profit organization 
  • Company has added beta or paying users in the past 12 months
  • Have a scalable business model (product, technology, etc.)*

Co.Starters Program Timeline

  • 11/22/21 – Application opens
  • 1/12/21 – Application closes
  • 1/14/22 – Companies notified of acceptance
  • 1/26/22 – 05/06/22 – Program dates

FAQs

The program will run from January 26, 2022 to April 6, 2022, meeting once a week for three hours in the evening. The chosen day of the week will be based on the availability of the applicants.

The program will be held virtually each week.

The application for submission will open on November 22, 2021 and will close on January 12, 2022.

Since this is a very hands on in-depth program we will have limited capacity on the number of founders we can support in the cohort.

CO.STARTERS is a nationally recognized program that’s been serving business overs for over 15 years. Innovate Charlotte is licensing the program and will supply the program workbook and all program materials to cohort participants. To supplement the cost, the program fee is $199.
